About Us The Daily Family YMCA has been serving Bixby and South Tulsa areas since 1984. Beginning as a storefront operation, founded by local bankers Mike Mease and Tony Bruce, it has grown to include a modern 46,000-square-foot facility, state-of-the-art equipment, more than 40 programs throughout the year.
Located in one of the fastest-growing areas of Oklahoma, the Daily Family YMCA offers a friendly, rural setting with the city of Tulsa less than 10 miles away. The Y serves children, adults, seniors and families from Bixby, South Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Glenpool, Jenks and other surrounding communities. This has been made possible by the generous contributions and gifts by Dr. Pat O. Daily, Mary Lee Daily Prout, Arthur & Veda Knoche, Tooter Guthrie, Betty Smith, Ira Smithee, Dr. John Sears, Tom Daniels and many other individuals, foundations and organizations. The Daily Family YMCA, its staff and volunteers follow the Mission Statement as set by the YMCA of the USA: to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We integrate the character development values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility into all activities, programs, classes and events. We also use the assets-building material as supported by the Search Institute to provide children and their parents with the most positive atmosphere for growth, development and fun! The YMCA is an active member of the Tulsa Area United Way. The Daily Family YMCA has six major core program areas that it provides to the community.
